Evidence is mounting that where and how students spend their time outside of normal school hours has important implications in their development (Weisman and Gottfredson, 2001). Young people benefit greatly when engaged in structured pursuits that offer opportunities for positive interactions with adults and peers. These worthwile pursuits encourage them to contribute and take initiative, as well as challenge and engage them to develop and apply new skills and learning
Eureka offers the following specialized programs to address the student’s specific needs in Reading, Writing, Science, Language, and Math. These highly specific programs not only give students avenues for positive interactions, but also equip them with valuable skills that are useful in and out of the classroom. These programs also cater to gifted students with specific needs and purposes, i.e. joining international Math/Science competition, preparing for the International Baccalaureate/Advanced Placement Programs.
